GREEN WITH ENVY
Black & White & Green - this mix makes me gasp and sigh "I'm in love!"
So, I chickened out! Well, I kind of did. We are redoing our bathroom and what do you do when you need to be inspired? Yup, that's right, you turn to the deep black hole of Pinterest! Personally, I think they should put Pinterest on the list of highly addictive drugs, but hey, moving on.
Back to chickening out (kind of). So, you know me, I like black and white and I wanted to keep the bathroom simple and clean. But I also loooooves me some deep green in the mix! I kept seeing these glamorous lush green tiled bathrooms and I was like - OMG YES LOVE! I WANT!
But then I came to my senses, the interior designer in me, I told myself, "Kirsten, we are not staying in this house for too long, you've got bigger dreams girl, we are going to move into a place with a back yard one day where all of my furbabies can play. And when we move out, it is not everyone's taste to walk into a deep green bathroom. (boring people!) So, I played it safe, I didn't go with the green :(. Well thank God for the black hole called Pinterest where I can still go on and dream and drool!
So we are going black, white and gold - SURPRISE SURPRISE! I'm so excited though because although I like deep colours as contrast to my black and white character, I do like my living spaces to be cool and calm. My creative mind races fast enough, I don't need too many other distractions. When you've got a mind like mine, you need to be surrounded by tranquility and bright spaces.
I will save the green for our bigger house :)
