Care for animals, especially for dogs and cats is especially close to our hearts at Hello Day. Since 2018, we have been supporting 'Help Bulgaria Street Cats and Dogs' with annual donations. Their aim is to support any cat or dog in need in Bulgaria with medical costs, vaccines, castrations, rehoming, adoptions, fosters and general support where they can. Despite recent changes in animal cruelty legislation in Bulgaria there is no authoritative organisation to ensure that these laws are adhered to. With limited resources they urgently need help to continue their great work and care. Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Breast Cancer Now's fabulous 'Wear it Pink' campaign is one of the UK's biggest fund raising events, having raised over £33 million since its launch in 2002. At Hello Day we are fully aware of the seriousness of the climate crisis, and the fact that each and every one of us contributes whether we like it or not. Every year we try our best to remove plastic entirely form our shipments. We never order plastic packaging, and the only plastic we reuse is the plastic sent to us from our suppliers (even though we request that they don’t send it). Since 2019, we are donating monthly to Ecologi, as a way to offset our carbon footprint. This great charity fights the climate crisis by encouraging us all to be aware of our impact, and thereby allowing us to offset our carbon footprint by donating towards the planting of trees and funding some the world’s best climate crisis solutions.
